Payment TermsPayment for all services is due in US funds at the time services are rendered. Cash or check is preferred. We'll accept credit card payments via PayPal.
Bad Checks, fraudulent Credit reversals, etc. If you write a check that bounces, or get clever and reverse credit card or PayPal payments without due cause (see note 2 below) we will bill you for any charges associated with the bad transaction. This includes any bank service fees, collection fees, etc.

DepositsFor certain jobs we may require a deposit before accepting the work. Deposits are determined on a case-by-case basis. In all cases we will issue a receipt for your deposit and apply those funds towards the work performed.
StorageWe'll charge $5/day storage for completed work left on our premises more than thirty (30) days. After ninety (90) days your gear will be considered abandoned regardless of whether the work has been paid for. Abandoned gear becomes the property of Wakarusa Amplification for disposal as we see fit. If this seems ugly, see note 3 below.
AccessCustomers are not allowed within six (6) feet of any technician's bench. See note 4 below.

Notes:

  1. A bench fee means that we're going to charge you at least an hour's labor to work on or look at your amp. Even if the actual time spent is less than an hour. We need to cover our time if we look at your amp, diagnose the problem, and then you either elect not to have it repaired or take it somewhere else to be repaired.
  2. With respect to reversed credit card and PayPal payments "due cause" means that there's some kind of dispute about our invoice or the work performed and that you've informed us about the dispute and given us a chance to resolve it. There is never due cause for kiting a bad check.
  3. We are not an amplifier storage facility. In fact, the amount of space we can use for the business is limited by local zoning ordinance and completed amps waiting to be picked up chew into that space pretty quickly. By the same token, we're not trying to steal your stuff, but once the work is done you need to make arrangements to come and get it or have it shipped to you. If you've special circumstances (deployed to Iraq?) we're usually happy to make allowances, but you have to call and let us know.
  4. This is a safety issue -- both yours and mine. There are all sorts of dangerous things afoot, from high voltage to caustic chemicals, on the bench. I can't watch you and the dangerous bits at the same time which means we're both at risk. Any kind of distraction can quickly lead to injury or death.
